Officers and Board Members

Role: Chief executive officer, responsible for leading the club and making strategic decisions. The President shall appoint a member to fill any other vacant position for the remainder of the club year. Such appointments shall be subject to approval by a majority vote of the Board of Directors.
Duties: Presides over meetings, represents the club externally, ensures constitutional adherence, coordinates with officers and committees, provides leadership, appoints committee chairs and appointed positions

Role: Assists the President, assumes duties in their absence. The Vice-President shall assume the office of the President if the President is unable to complete his term of office. Chairs: Membership committee
Duties: Oversees projects, helps in club activities planning, supports committees Records meeting minutes, handles correspondence, maintains records, issues notices.

Role: Manages financial matters.
Duties: Receives and records dues payments in roster, prepares financial reports, handles income and expenses, manages 503(c)

Role: Member of Membership Committee
Duties: Participate in decision-making, lead projects, liaison between members and board.

Role: Member of Activity Committee
Duties: Participate in decision-making, lead projects, liaison between members and board.

Role: Provides continuity, institutional knowledge, and advisory support to the club leadership based on prior service as President.
Duties: Advise current officers and the Board on policy, governance, and historical context. Support leadership transitions and mentor new officers as requested. Assist with special projects, committees, or initiatives when asked. Represent the club in an advisory or ceremonial capacity as appropriate, without holding executive authority unless separately assigned.

Role: Manages and oversees repeater licenses and compliance. The Trustee shall, when necessary, be nominated and elected by a majority vote of the Board of Directors.
Duties: WAØRJE Repeater Licensee / Trustee - Manages repeater licenses, ensures regulatory compliance.

Role: The Repeater Technician is responsible for the overall reliability, performance, and regulatory compliance of the club’s repeater systems. This role serves as the technical authority for repeater infrastructure and advises the club on maintenance, upgrades, and long-term system planning.
Duties: Install, maintain, monitor, and repair repeater equipment, antennas, and related systems. Troubleshoot outages, interference, and audio issues. Perform preventive maintenance, keep technical documentation current, ensure FCC compliance, and respond to failures to restore service in a timely manner.

Role: Coordinates the club’s involvement in emergency communications. The Emergency Communications officer shall be assigned in accordance with the provisions Sedgwick County Emergency Management which define that post.
Duties: Liaison between Tec-Ni-Chat and R.A.C.E.S

Role: Supports the Senior Repeater Technician in maintaining the club’s repeater systems and serves as a technical backup when the primary technician is unavailable.
Duties: Assist with installation, maintenance, testing, and repair of repeater equipment and related infrastructure. Help monitor system performance, document changes, and participate in upgrades or site work. Step in to support troubleshooting and restoration efforts as directed by the Senior Repeater Technician.

Role: Acts as a designated control operator for the club’s repeaters and provides hands-on technical support under the direction of the Senior Repeater Technician.
Duties: Perform control operator functions in accordance with FCC regulations. Monitor repeater operation, respond to reported issues, and assist with basic troubleshooting and maintenance tasks. Execute approved configuration changes, log actions taken, and escalate complex issues to the Senior or Assistant Technician.

Role: Provides additional control operator coverage and technical support to ensure continuity of repeater operations.
Duties: Serve as a control operator when assigned, monitor repeater activity, and report or address operational issues within approved limits. Assist with routine maintenance, testing, and documentation. Support restoration efforts during outages and defer advanced troubleshooting or system changes to senior technical staff.

Role: Responsible for the reliability, security, and day-to-day operation of the club’s website and related online services.
Duties: Maintain website content, user access, and permissions. Manage updates, backups, and basic security controls. Troubleshoot site issues, coordinate fixes, and implement approved changes. Ensure the website supports club operations, communications, and member needs while remaining stable, usable, and compliant with club policies.
